Programme conference

Polish University Abroad, University of Szczecin, Academia of Art in Szczecin, University of Macerata, University of Jan Evangelista Purkyne in Ustí nad Labem and Pwani University invite all young researchers to take part in the virtual, international conference: Society-Education-Culture. HUMAN AND TECHNOLOGIES: LONDON 26th June 2021.

Issues related to human activities in many areas of social life can be defined by the conflicts arising between what belongs to a group, the society; and what is private, relating to the individual. As human beings, we co-exist and are affected by mutual relations accepted as something essential. Simultaneously, we can build an internal “wall”, strongly influenced by the social context, despite risk of alienation. This dichotomous way of social life is acquired via learning processes and is passed on to others through social interactions which leads us to an increased interest in looking for the value of life. Social sciences directly raise questions about phenomena, processes, structure, order, strength, changes, and the transformation of the relations between humans. Drawing upon this perspective, researchers attempt to answer questions: “Why does it happen?” and “What can we do about it?”.

Focus of this conference lies on the socio-edu-cultural embedding of technologies in societal and cultural practices. The research explores how this embedding configures the contours of what changes, challenges and opportunities for education, culture and society may be. It draws upon
a multidimensional, interdisciplinary perspective, exploiting the multi-sectoral approaches for throughout understanding.

Scientific insight and research regarding reality makes sense only if it serves human beings. This way all the intentions and results of research efforts should be continuously assessed. One of the best opportunities for it are – among others – scientific conferences and seminars. They enable the development of scientific and practical discourse through the descriptions, analysis, interpretations, and implementation of cognition effects.
