PUNO in Kenya

Another secondment at Pwani University in Kenya took place in November and December 2018. We went to Kilifi because of the research project „Technologies of Imagining in Communication, Art and Social Sciences” (TICASS), we participate in. The project is funded by the European Commission: Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions – Research and Innovation Staff Exchange, Horizon2020 (MSCA-RISE, H2020).

Our researchers were participants of the following mile-stone events, together with academics from Academy of Art in Szczecin (Poland), Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic), University of Macerata (Italy), Association for Education, Science and Culture (Poland), and Pwani University (Kenya):

1) press conference on the TICASS activities in Kenya, in the Pwani University Library, 16/11/2018.

2) photographic exhibition „RAPPROCHEMENT with the public space” in the Main Hall of Pwani University Library, Kilifi; opening: 16/11/2018.

3) promotion of collective monograph: Visuality from Intercultural Perspectives. Technologies of Imaging in Communication, Art and Social Sciences, edited by Michael Fleming and Aleksandra Lukaszewicz Alcaraz (PUNO Press in cooperation with Academic Publishing House of Faculty of Painting and New Media at Academy of Art in Szczecin), in the Pwani University Library, 16/11/2018.

4) international conference „Urban Visuality, Mobility and Technology of Images“, Pwani University Resource Center, Kilifi; 6-7/12/2018.
